Exclamation Help! I need help! Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my car's steering?

Hi everyone, can any of you experts tell me what's going on with my E92's steering? Two videos attached.

In the first two videos above, you can hear the loud clicking sound (sounds like someone dropping wooden logs on the ground... a loud "clunk"... best way to describe it).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=28sAc0vZU44

In the third video above, there's a very loud high-pitch whine when I turn, especially when I turn left.

Dealership wants to charge me $150 just for a diagnostic, so I'd like to gather some of your feedback first!!

Car has 58K on it. Have maintained it every year under warranty; this is the first year without warranty and this happens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

CV joints? and power steering. Get the diagnostic because they should add the 150 you pay for it into the bill that you're going to have to pay to fix it.

Don't go to the dealership

Don't go to the dealership if you don't have a warranty or recall
For a mechanical problem like this a good mechanic
could tell what is happening just by looking at it or driving
it in 5 minutes.

Sounds like there is slop in the steering column or steering rack assembly .

Find a good Indy.

Thanks! I was hesitating about the dealership route as well. The mechanic took a test drive but kept sealed lips oncthe cause. Basically they wanted $150 for a diagnosis, then the balance for whatever needed fixing. I didn't feel at ease with that approach.
