Meet and Greet for SA-area BMW CCA Members and other BMW enthusiasts this coming Friday (Jan. 11), 5:30PM, BJ's Brewhouse at The Rim (on I-10 just west of 1604). This is an informal gathering to get to know one another and discuss/encourage participation in club events. Non-members are welcome too - come find out about club membership and activities or just to swap stories and check out each other's cars. Hope to see you all there!

It's in the "Anyone from San Antonio" thread, and the Tejas Chapter website. It's now posted on the 1-series and F30 forums.

Hmmm...should definitely be on the front page of the Tejas Chapter website.

Didn't see anything as of this morning...maybe with the short notice you should just spam member e-mail inboxes?

Please note - this is NOT an official Tejas Chapter event. We're just reaching out to fellow members in the area (and interested non-members), so we won't be putting this on the chapter web page. We DO have a message thread in the chapter Message Board section, though.

Just trying to get fellow BMW CCA club members and other BMW owners together so we can get acquainted, maybe boost membership/participation in club events and so forth. We'd like this "social gathering" to be a regular event, whether or not you're a CCA member.

We haven't decided yet, but I suspect it will be next month. February weather is not great, so we'll have to plan carefully. Also, there was a little confusion over whether we were meeting inside BJ's or in the parking lot - so we eventually got everyone who wanted to stay around inside and seated.

Next time we will probably set up somewhere with a larger parking area, do the meet and greet outside (weather permitting) and then move inside. I think a lot of the attendees were thinking this would be like Cars and Coffee, but our intent really was to get people indoors around a table. Next time we'll include some checking out of cars and swapping stories outside.

Our thanks to everyone who made it, and next time we'll try to hold it at a time and place that will be a little more convenient for our cross-town folks.
