Hello! I'm the new boy!

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to say Hello to you all and introduce myself. I am very very new to BMWs entirely and have just purchased my first one. I went for an E92 335i SE in Titanium silver with a few extras.

Ive owned the car for around a week now and used to own a Subaru Impreza P1 ltd ed #0707/1000. I owned the P1 for around 6 years and poured my heart and soul and extended credit card limits to get it up to a spec and condition I was happy with. When it sold it was running 410bhp/390ftlb on a 2.15 stroker built engine. I built the engine for c.550bhp but still had the OE gearbox so had to keep the boost down to 1.6bar so as not to obliterate it! Launching on the lowest setting saw 0-60 in 3.2 seconds, top speed of 181mph and pulled very impressively through the range.

Im looking forward to getting stuck into the forum and researching all I can. I have some immediate questions but I will post up in the right section.

Here are some pics of the P1, and my new 335. Ive included the P1 spec too in case there are any Scooby fans viewing.

Ha! I tried shifting with my right hand in a LHD car once and it was a nightmare to get used to!

HA that was my first thought!

Anyways, looks like you had a ton of fun and put quite a bit of energy into your old car - impressive!

Do you plan on taking the 335 that far?

I don't i've got the funds or the energy to go that far again with another car in all honesty! But I wouldn't mind a few subtle tweaks hear and there. right now i'm only cosidering a speaker upgrade, exhaust with a nicer note and a map to accomodate. Induction kit / air filter too. So pretty basic stuff right now!

I would have never gotten rid of that Impreza. That's my all time favorite car.

It was a very very unwilling sale! But circumstances dictated it had to change hands unfortunately the 335 is my 'grown up' car now apparently.

Very nice Impreza! I'm sure you'll come to love your 335i for other reasons though - they are just a dream to drive with a great combination of power, handling, and comfort.

If you didn't have those headlight covers, I'd love your subie. Although, who am I to judge. You're the one in all these magazines! haha

Its funny how plain the Bimmer looks after scrolling through your first pics. Congrats on the new ride!
