Detroit Meet 8/18 at the Woodward Dream Cruise

Unfortunately, we had some mix up about where to meet and timing was difficult for some, but we still had some good food and an opportunity to hang with our fellow e90post.com members.

This was my first meet and I am looking forward to more!

I should explain the Woodward Dream Cruise. It's a huge event out here in the northern Detroit suburbs where people bring all of their classic cars and well just about anything with wheels. The event is mainly a time for classic car driving. I had one guy and his son on Harley on the way to the meet that said to me "your car is more a Dream Car than Dream Cruise." I'll post some pictures later showing some of the classic cars I looked at earlier that morning. But basically people get out and drive and ~1 million people show up for the event.

Here are a few pictures I took at the cruise walking around downtown Birmingham, Michigan which blocks off its city streets for the car clubs and some sponsors (the second picure is of the Chevy Volt, GM's planned 2010 full electric car.)
