Alpina Transmission questions

I am going to get the alpina transmission flash done on my stock car. I don't plan on running a tune anytime soon but I heard this flash makes the car fun to drive and helps you save MPG as well .

I drive my car pretty conservatively and don't really drive it fast, my commute is 80 miles per day and I prefer to cruise but occasionally I will drive spirited.

I have two questions that I would like cleared up before I get this done.

1. If you drive your car conservatively I heard this flash makes the car feel like a jerky CVT transmission? Is this true and if so should I avoid it?

2. When taking the car for service (I have many years of CPO left), should you flash back to stock or not bother?

Thanks all!

Hmmm mate of mine has had this done and hasn't mentioned anything about jerks in gear changes

2) when you go for a service if you take it to BMW I think most likely they will flash you're Ecu as they always run diagnostics on the car to check for any unwanted errors

After that they flash the Ecu potentially deleting you're alpina flash

Nobody at the dealership is going to do any programming on your car unless you come in with a driveability complaint or need a coded module replaced. In that case, the EGS program may get overwritten. For just basic service work, there are no diagnostics or programming/coding performed.

BMW will never flash the gearbox ECU unless you have a transmission problem.
