Brake squeal

Fitted new brakes all round a few months ago. Pagid discs all round with Pagid front pads and original BMW rears which I had purchased on line at a good price. After a short while got sick of the brake squeal from the front. Pads were well greased and all sliders etc. covered approx 2k miles and squeal has got no less. Purchased a set of Jurid which are unbranded BMW pads no more squeal, very happy.

Motormec 49 inc postage E-Bay, a lot cheaper than BMW. Lesson learnt re other makes of pads, cant fault the discs though so far smooth braking. Are you replacing Pagid for squeal as well ?

2007 335i  [0.00]
Idk if its the same issue.
But i have a large build up of brake dust that I clear out every 3 or so monthes.
I get a squeal if I dont.
Like i said
Doubt its normal. But its what works for me.

I've always used textar or genuine BMW, since opening garage switched to pagid have had so few complaints about then being noisey. Changed them under warranty to textar all good, not using pagid anymore rubbish nothing but problems since using them. For extra use textar can't go wrong.

Im replacing them for the lack of bite and under heavy braking they judder like no other whereas before on my BMW pads I could do about 4 stops in row from high speed before they start to fade, whereas the pagids under heavy/hard braking on 2nd attemps they start to fade easily and judder really badly

under normal driving they are fine no squeals

thanks for the recommendation. Mine squeal so badly at low pressure and speeds of 30 and lower that the only way to avoid it is to either slam the brakes at the lights or lift of the pedal and engine brake as I come towards the lights until I'm doing about 12mph when the braking load is lower.
