Retrofit side view mirror motors

I would like to make my current side mirrors fold in.
I read the DIY but it wasn't that great and I want to do it differently.

I have the new window switch, I have power and memory seats, I have e92 m-sport high gloss mirrors no auto dim and no power fold.

Can I install power folding MOTORS into my current mirrors to make them fold? Can the motors be from any e9x?

I will be taking the car apart tonight and tomorrow, to do a lot of work on it and will take the mirrors off to see what I've got.

I was hoping to pick up just motors to add to my current mirrors for a cheaper fix instead of all new mirrors. I do not care about auto dim.

Input?

Don't think you could do that but have a look at realoem.com and see if there is a clue there ...

yeah took a look doesn't seem to show just the motor for fold in. But was hoping I could maybe buy any mirror and take the motor out and put in mine. I think finding a gloss black mirror with fold in will be pricey. Is there any chance my mirrors will fold when I add the window switch and code?

I was thinking about the same thing. I have been looking for broken mirrors at the yard to see if I can swap the motors over.
