usually the fit issue is the pipes coming into contact with eachother or the subframe. you can pull the dp off and check the flange with a straight edge to see if its warped..

The rear turbo downpipe seem to fit properly. The front turbo DP did not. the head of the DP didnt line up properly with the turbo making the Flange not fit. I put the stock DP back on that side. Now the car is rumble'ey at idle and has some slight vibration in my dash area.. and holy hell did it smell, im hoping the smell is cause the pipes are new. Anyways... Will VRSF want me to return both DP or will i be able to return the bad one?

The smell lasts for like 30 minutes of driving.

Did you do the install or did a shop? Do you have experience installing downpipes previously? Not questioning your ability, just trying to figure out whats going on.

My vrsf downpipes fit perfectly.

I think I'd recommend pulling both off rather than running one dp. Call tiago on Monday (or send him a pm on here over the weekend). He's a good guy and I'm sure he'll get it squared away for you

Did them myself and no experience with DPs. It seems pretty straight. Only issue was that it wouldn't fit flush no matter what. I'm 100% positive it's the DP. Did you have any issues with rough idle afterwards? I'm sure it's cause of let one bolt out of the stock DP but probably have a severe exhaust leak.

did you try putting the clamp ont the dp first, then aligning the pipe with the turbo and then mounting the clamp on both? (i'm pretty sure you did but just asking) i just did my dp on thursday for the 3rd time set a personal record of 1 hour 50 min

and i dont think that exhaust leak would cause the car to vibrate so much but sound bad as hell.

most likely it's the dp thats bad and they'll probably want both not just one to exchange them.

good luck.

btw: i have AA downpipes and fitment is perfect.

I had no issues at all, but I had a buddies shop install them. I've never installed DPs and don't have the time or desire to go through it. Did you follow a DIY guide?

The idle is a bit more pronounced when I initially start the car, but it settles down after about 20/30 seconds.

If you're sure it's the DP then reach out to tiago.

Hope you get it squared away soon. I LOVE my vrsf downpipes

Hey I installed my set of vrsf pipes today too and I had the same problem. There's a small gap between the front Downpipe and turbo so the v-clamp won't close. Did you talk to Tiago? Do you have to replace both pipes or just one? I really don't want to take the shorter pipe off since its partially in place.

I just did my DPs (Raceland) a couple weeks ago. I had similar issues with getting the front DP lined up on both the mid pipe and the turbo. I thought it was a fitment issue but it really ended up being me. You need to bolt up both ends and tighten them slowly so everything comes together at once.

The vibration you speak of could be an O2 sensor. They are pretty fragile and one could have possibly gotten messed up when removing or installing it.

Haven't talked to Tiago yet. I want to replace both regardless because the other DP I believe touching the subframe causing vibration.

It's a fitment issue in my case.

Check out my review in the general forum. Tiago successfully installed these into my car free of charge and was a great experience! I'd link you to it but I'm on my iPhone.
