Mstyle did my 1M bumper...was the 1st one done Did a fantastic job with that bumper. In fact, thumbs up to Mstyle for doing most of the work on my car, including respraying the front end 2 or 3 times due to stone chips and always doing an awesome job of it as Brilliant White Metallic is a very hard colour to get right!

Yup mstyle did mine too. First e92 non M to have the 1m installed.
It was horrible fitment and they refitted and resprayed multiple times to get the perfect fitment.

I was there from 16:30 to 21:45 so had to leave in the end, sorry if I didn't spend as long chatting to everyone but it was bloody cold outside! Thought you chaps would give up and come in Ended up talking to beemarman for about 2 hours (great to catch up fella! )

Still very much like the Terminator lenses Josh.

Thanks for compliments. I can't wait to finish it off and shut the bloody exhaust up though.

Nice meeting everyone and putting some faces to usernames.
Good atmosphere with little bellendery and a good setting - I'd gladly meet any of you there again any time (although I'm bringing thermals next time).

Sorry to the lads I missed! I got lost in the croud, chatting to friends who I never knew where in the BMW Game. A forum meet, would be a great idea one afternoon down at ace. I am sure that could be arranged.... Couldn't it Dave

Thanks for the comments! You know where to find me if you want them on your own car

Chaps, great to put faces to names.

Mega, I'm very jealous of your sound system and your vibrating exhaust!

I would be interested in a forum meet, once it gets a little warmer!

Cheers,
Steve

This was the android install that I was talking about. He also has a USB webcam so that he can mount it to his car and record bits and bobs.

I would like to have access to more media in the car and this looks interesting and relatively cheap compared to a Dension 500. The biggest advantage is that you can tether the android to your phone's 3G!

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=806078

Enjoy!

Steve! THAT'S AWESOME!

I was thinking hard about it, and although I would like a built in system, I think it would be easier for me to duplicate my phones screen onto the idrive, then use a Bluetooth receiver, for the sound through the aux.

Do you know what I would need to have this work?

Hi chap,

At the moment I have absolutely no idea. I'm hoping to spend some time researching the whole thing over the next few weeks.

I also have a long list of things I would like to do to my car, so I guess a priority list is required.

I will let you know once I get around to the Android bits.

I am going to get on the case right now. If I find anything out...I will let you know.

Cheers again for bringing this awesome mod to my attention.

I love having idrive, but I hate how rubbish it it. Being able to just connect my phone to the screen will make it usable!

Not sure if you can connect your phone to the screen although its probably possible. The guy on the link has a separate install of android on a USB stick and that's what he has going to his screen.

Either way, time to do some research and see what we come up with.
