I've had only positive service experience with Open Road BMW in Edison, NJ. Of course, you will be paying dealership price. Now that I am out of warranty/maintenance plan, I'm looking for a good indy shop but will schedule important jobs like tranny oil change with them.
I've never had service done with Princeton BMW but I drive by there everyday on my way to work and will pick up miscellaneous parts every now and then but they give out very bad advice like "it's illegal for them to sell tranny fluid" and another time they stated "you need a special tool to unbolt the springs and strut". |

Morristown and Roxbury BMW in NJ have been fantastic any time I have dealt with them.
Morristown constantly goes above and beyond when it comes to service and warranties, they bent the rules once or twice servicing vehicles that were slightly out of warranty. Buy more than one car there, and they will treat you like a king. (They also will give an m3 loaner for anyone with an m series car that is going in for service... I know this is not BMW policy nation wide, but it is pretty cool to see) Roxbury also has a pretty impressive selection and the people there are really friendly. They sold me the wrong black grilles once, but immediately exchanged them the next day. They also offered tips on pulling the old ones off without messing up the clips. |

Yeah I agree. And Tony goes above and beyond for you... Circle is also pretty good but Open Road wins it for me.

Mt Laurel is also a great place in South Jersey, they will really work with you on any upgrades... PE or Intake.

JMK service has been good for me overall even though I didn't buy from them. Flemington's service was good, went there once.
Morristown service on the other hand has been very unreliable, incomplete fixes requiring a return visit or the usual can't replicate the problem even when proof was provided. |

I've had nothing but good experiences with Princeton BMW (the new quaker bridge location mostly) But then again I usually know exactly what I need to get done, and have a house account at parts, so I don't buy into any bullshit that they could potentially spring onto an owner who wasn't as mechanically inclined. They are pretty good with loaners and have my car back to me with exactly what i needed done.

I didn't expect wide smiles at 7am but they did want needed to be done and gave me a nice loaner for the day. Explained everything and didn't make me feel like they were hiding something. Thumps up so far. |
