I haven't read where someone has done it on an E90. I've looked at mine and at 5 years and 143K miles mine is still in good shape, so I doubt anyone has yet needed to do it. But the replacement is the same procedure as any other 3-series.

Last time I did one of these it was on a 1979 528i (E12). The "flex disc" was 18 years old, didn't actually need to be replaced.

If you do replace, do not forget to replace the bolts and lugs (8 of them, if I recall).

My car makes a clicking / clunk sound every time you put it in drive or reverse from neutral. Did anyone grease the guibo to make it go away? Anyone have any experience? Dealer says it need lubrication.

The part that needs lubrication is the flange in the rear diff not the guibo.

I am going to try attacking this issue next week. Can you guys provide me with which areas to check. I am guessing I should follow around e46 DIY for guibo, but what do I follow to check the diff?
