Remove Window Switches
I'm in the process of changing out my door panels. Just driver door left and I want transfer the switches and handle as well.
panel is off but need help taking apart the wiring connection to the windows. Probably overlooking the obvious here.... Thanks steve |

Well, if your door panel is already off - then obviously you've already disconnected the electrical connectors to the switches? Otherwise the panel would just be hanging on the car by the wires?
In any event, window switches have a lever on the connector that needs to be swiveled - it then 'cams' the connector out of the switch. As for the switch itself, it simply prys out of the armrest. Get a plastic pry tool, pry switch assembly up at the front, then pull front up & forward to release the rear spring clip. There is a metal clip at back side so don't pry from rear of switch. 1st set of tools I bought for my BMW was the Schwaben Nylon Trim Tool Set. Way better than using a screwdriver to remove trim, door panels, etc. as they won't damage anything... http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E92-328...ools/ES517779/
