Battery Conditioners
I'm looking to get a battery conditioner for my dad
I have a CTEK XS3600 but it's an older model. What do you guys have or can you recommend? Something that will take flat battery and charge up and maintain while a car sits for weeks without use. Ta |

Optimate/Accumate - i've always used them on cars (TVRs), bikes, jetskis, etc. and they're fantastic.

I have just bought one from lidl for £14. It seems to do all the tricks. It is a 3.8 charger that also does pulse charging. Look it up on their website. I am quite impressed with the quality. It also looks very similar to the ctec. It will satisfy your requirements I think.

I've got 2 accumates at the moment, one on my 'ski and one which has been used on various 911s, TVRs, and motorbikes. Can't fault them.
I know lots of people who use the optimate 3 and optimate 4 in commercial applications and they're also highly rated. They can often recover batteries that other chargers won't even attempt, and they're ultra reliable. You can fit any of the accumate/optimate series and just leave it all year round, they're both charger and conditioner so will never over-charge.

Thanks i think i'll go with the Amazon one after a bit of reading. Although to be honest that's purely down to brand familiarity. The optimates look good too. Ta
