Idrive rebooted on start up, is it battery related? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hi guys,
I got a e90 lci, i was checking if my cigi lighter connector is live in accessory mode & after checking that when i started the car the idrive rebooted after the car staring up, i had a low battery warning few days back, is it related to the low battery? when the idrive rebooted i didn't get any low battery warning on dash like i had few days back. Any inputs what cause it?

This has happened on my car maybe twice in the almost 2 years I've owned it. I definitely thought it was odd and I have no idea how to account for it (other than some sort of software bug?), but I haven't had any battery issues, so I doubt those issues are related. But I wouldn't worry about it.

has the idrive booted up after starting the car? only my phone was connected to the idrive at that time.

In the 1 1/2 years of ownership, my idrive has rebooted 1 time. When I started the car the screen got stuck on the BMW logo, then went black and rebooted.

which bmw logo u mean? i get no bmw logo when i start my car normally, the logo comes only when the idrive is rebooting i think.

If I insert the key fob immediately after I unlock the car, the logo shows up. But if I wait a bit before I insert the key fob then I just get the warning message about paying attention. It's possible that the newer version of idrive has changed from yours.

guys does the reboot take 5secs? what i meant is when i started the car the Idrive displayed "BMW" for 3-5secs then went back to main menu, is that a reboot?

sounds like your battery is dieing.
