Coilovers or shocks and springs?

Well my car is at 80k and the suspension seems loose and noisy up front and just doesn't seem as planted as it once did. I'm pretty sure the front hats need to be replaced along with the shocks and springs. I'm looking to either doing shocks and springs or coilovers. I currently have the M3 wishbones and tension links up front along with the M3 strut brace. This is a daily driver car and I want a much better planted feel. I do drive aggressively and prefer a firmer suspension. I need some suggestions and advice, because honestly I don't know much about suspension products. My budget is under $1500. I'll do the install myself. I was also considering putting in the rear bushing inserts at the same time since I'll have stuff apart anyway...thoughts?
Thanks for any and all advice.

Do it right and get coilovers instead of shocks/springs. I'd spend all your $1500 budget on the best set you can afford (KW or equivalent).

You can always do the subframe bushings and other rear suspension mods later if necessary.

I was looking at the BC coil overs as it seems to be a complete kit with good reviews. And as far as the rear subframe bushings I was looking at doing just the inserts.

When it comes to suspension there are a lot of mixed opinions out there. Some people love coils others love springs and shocks. I think it all depends on what you are looking for. If you want the option to lower and raise your car whenever you want, then I would say go with coils. I didnt care about that because I love the drop of the H&R sports, so I went with H&R sports with koni sports adjustable and they run great and the car is lowered perfect imo.
Thats just my 2 cents.
