ticking in my 328 09/ Navi issues

I have a 328 xi 2009 and i have the dumb ass ticking noise coming from my engine and when i brought it to the dealers they tell me that there is nothing wrong with the car and that its normal ...WTF..a loud ticking noise is normal. My car is still under warranty for two weeks ..

Also my navigation has been acting real weird and has been taking me all over the place besides the location that I want to go too..I tell my dealer about the issue and they tell me i have to pay 400 to update the shit ..WTF ..what is the point of the damn warranty. They don't want to fix shit when its under , but once its done, that when they tell you they can fix anything. But then charge you out the ass...:mad0260 :

Any though or ideas that could help me with my navi or anything ...

How long has the ticking been going on? Modern engines have a tendency to tick, usually it's part of normal valve operation. The usual fix is to check your oil and top up if needed. Have you ever heard a car with direct injection? They make about 10 different ticking sounds at any given time. Rhythmic ticking at idle is totally normal, stop freaking out and enjoy your car more.

Maybe post a video of the sound, so we can hear how loud it is. Early N52 engines had a notable issue with ticking loudly, but was allegedly corrected in 2008.

I've heard the valve ticking on the 328, sounded pretty normal to me. Maybe post a video or listen to another 328 around town to compare the sounds? Another thing I would recommend is going to a different dealership and get a second opinion.
