Cost for battery + alternator replacement? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I was in a dealership today for service engine soon indicator. My service advisor told me that I need to replace my battery and alternator as soon as possible. The cost was around $2000+ (I don't remember the exact number).

I called an independent shop and their quote was $1100 + tax.

is this about right?

I've never replaced a battery and alternator before.

I'm not sure about alternator but I just got quoted $450+tax for battery at dealership the other day.
