E90 330i N52 - Viewing Today

Hi All,

Viewing a '56 plate Auto this afternoon. Would anyone be kind enough to clarify the following options please:

S563A LICHTPAKET Light package
I take it this is the door handle & footwell lights?
S644A HANDY VORB. MIT BLUETOOTH-SCHNITTS. Preparation f mobile phone w Bluetooth
Will I be able to pair my iphone 5 straight away and will I be able to stream music? I read I should be able to install the USB for approx. 80 + coding since I have the bluetooth module - is this correct?
S663A RADIO BMW PROFESSIONAL Radio BMW Professional
Does this play mp3's on a CD/DVD or simply play regular CD's? Is it worth upgrading this however I don't want to carry anything around with me?
S676A HIFI LAUTSPRECHERSYSTEM HiFi speaker system
I read this is better than the stock system but not as good as the Logic 7 option however how good is this comapred to the e46 HK system?

Finally, is there anything I should keep my eyes peeled for?

Thanks, P.

No, you won't be able to stream music from a phone with those options!

Also you won't be able to add USB without spending ! It'll be cheaper to buy the newer professional HU with BT & USB!

Its only for the telephone calls. You will not be able to stream your music via BT. For that you will require combox.
Re: USB, I do not know who told you that. That is not possible on that car, unless you buy a HU with USB built in.

Not sure, but on 2006 I have seen that it plays MP3.

Its slightly better than standard base but no where near HK system. Finally, is there anything I should keep my eyes peeled for?

Thanks, P.

I need an auto for the missus and there is a significant price difference.

That car is amazing though, true big spec! GLWS to the owner, won't take long.

Re: USB port - I read post on this forum yday stating that if there is a Bluetooth control box on the boot, USB port can be added by wiring a cable - approx. 80 + coding.

Am I mistaken?

I gathered I either need a USB enabled HU or a MULF console in the boot. If it has a ULF module, no worth upgrading, easier to get a new HU.

Thoughts?

Thats what we referred to changing a HU with USB built in at the back of HU.

You should definitely be able to play MP3s on the professional radio/CD unit. If not, a software update will provide that functionality.

So I picked up the car and enjoyed the ride back.

The HU plays mp3's and iPhone 5 synced up straight away. The hifi sound is pretty good, I can easily live with it. Couldn't see any units in the boot, I was expecting an amp.

Re: USB - I'll remove the HU at some point to confirm if there is a USB input.

Quick question, the passenger side mirror does not dip when in reverse. I checked with the mirror control switch in left or right but no joy. Any ideas?

Thanks

It won't as standard unless you have electric memory seats. I think it can be coded to dip though...

Ah, the seats are manual which I was surprised about as they were electric in my e46.

Any ideas where I could get this coded in London?
