weird. N52 often gets stereotyped as a girls car

Well, to be fair they were talking about the 330 version of the n52, not ours. I've never driven a 330, wonder if that extra 25 hp makes that much of a difference.

It's quite a bit up from a 325i for sure though... I've never driven a 328i.

Never drove a 325i, but I own a 330i and considered a 328i (several test drives). I couldn't tell much difference between the 330i and the 328i as far as "going" power, but the miniscule brakes on the 328i made it take significantly longer to stop.

I've driven the 325, 328 and my 330 and there is definitely a difference in the way the engine pulls to redline and mid-rpm torque (stock vs. stock).

That being said, I've lightened my car by 180lbs (3,210lbs) and am putting out about 270hp with all my mods on my 330. Most people who drive my car think it's a 335 and it pulls hard up to 7,000rpms.

I really enjoy the NA aspect of the engine and working the gearbox on the track.

I went to check out Stig's car and it is excellent. He even has a no-sunroof option and it is ~3K lbs. It took him months to find it. This car is light, fast and handles very well! Cool guy also.

wow. I'm not sure if it is a good thing to be included in that list or not. Other than the Aston and obviously the 330i, I don't think I'd want any of the other cars on that list. Maybe the civic si for a reliable car to take to 300k. Could be my personal preference, though.

How did you like his exhaust note? What about impressions of the whole header thing?

The exhaust note is 1/2 as loud as my Dinan exhaust (no headers). Once you rev above 3.5K you will hear a nice deep sound. There is no way to notice headers inside of cabin during regular driving. It is actually too quiet for my taste but that can be easily fixed. I think SS headers and PE exhaust would be awesome.

In terms of headers and fitment it is a piece of art - as simple as that. He had them coated with ceramic coating also. This is the only way to do this right! You have high quality parts that will last a long time and not compromise reliability.

Also, the car throws you back at 2.5K. You can feel the tq at the low end like 2-2.5K and continues to pull hard all the way up. This is really a no brainer mod in my opinion if you can afford it.
