Sensor Question

I ordered new pads and rotors from Tire Rack. I couldn't find sensors on the site, so I figured I'd just grab them from the stealership before I changed them this weekend. I was happy to find Tire Rack had stuck two sensors in the box of front pads, but both sensors appear to be exactly the same. When I look online there are two different part numbers, and the photos (unreliable) seem to indicate two different lengths.

Are both sensors the same? I just don't want to run into any issues during the install.

Sensors not same on my 328iX - different lengths + the little donuts attached to them in various places for attachment points are not same & they are in different positions along the length.

Mebbe they just messed up and threw in 2 of the same by mistake.

As you already found, they are 2 different P/N - there is a reason for that

Now whether they will still work can only be tested by installing...

Is there any difference besides length? I'm considering just zip tying them to the car instead of installing in the pad given the amount I have the wheels off the car. Would it work in this application?

1Quik is right in that the front and rear sensors have different lengths. If you're not planning to actually install them, then you should be ok. I believe both front and rear connectors are the same, from what I can recall since my last brake job. There are ppl on the forum that connect it and zip tie it.

Thanks - assuming the connectors are the same, that's my plan.
