MOD BARGAINS worst service yet to experience with my BMW

Placed an order for a CF steering wheel cover 6/12 with my credit card. Received a confirmation order email 6/13, saying i would be updated shortly with shipping information.

fast forward to 6/19, im wondering where my part is, decide to call and receive some of that wonderful Mod bargain customer service ive read online so much about. Placed on hold first for 10 minutes, and was told they would look into my order and call me back within twenty minutes. They never did

I called back about an hour after i was told i would receive a call and they placed me again on hold, until i decided to hang up i believe it was around the ~10 minute mark.

I call today 6/21 and they tell me they BELIEVE it should have shipped out, as i was only finally billed for it on the 20th... But no one there has anything concrete to tell me .

/vent

wont be ordering from them again, way too many other vendors with much better customer support

I had a similar experience with them.

Decided to purchase from them since I've read so many good things about them...I did not have a good experience. Same problems, no shipping confirmation, no responses to emails, no call backs.

Should also mention that they sent me the incorrect grille twice.

Not sure if I just dealt with the wrong employee or if everyone else has crazy low customer service standards.

Bimmian never sent me any shipping confirmation and finally after like 12 days my painted side reflectors showed up. guess what? they didnt even look alpine white. They are located in canada which could be why shipping always takes for ever

i also didn't have a good 1st experience.. they sent me the wrong black grilles for my e92, not just once or twice, but 3 wrong sets of grilles. I had 6 kidney grilles at home and none of them were for my car. On the 4th try, they sent me the correct pair, however it was two of the same sided grilles. They offered a small discount on my next order as compensation, but when i ordered via email, they forgot to include the discount they told me they'd give me.. i am a pretty understandable guy, but i won't be ordering from them anymore

i am just frustrated at seeing so many good reviews and then being polar opposite when I finally take the plunge.

i wont name him, but he said the reason as to why my order wasnt handled immediately or as to why there was a delay was because all the sales associates have hundreds of other orders as well, and that most of them are done in person or on the phone.... so what youre telling me is Online sales takes a backseat to a brick and mortar shop? Thats not a profitable business model....SMH

Ive ordered from them before in 2009. It does take a while to ship out. I believe I waited 2 weeks. Did it give you an option to choose shipping? Did you pay for expedited shipping?

I have ordered many, many items and generally **********s is the first place I look for something (my 335i or my S4). I recommend sending a PM first, then following up with the actual person who responds... In my experience, I have had nothing but first class service...I have been working with Alan exclusively the past 6-8 months.

I do agree with the online experience, however... this is why I would send a PM and followup with a phone call to place the order...

I ordered an exhaust and they sent me two passenger side mufflers, rather than one passenger side and one driver side. The boxes said Box A and Box B, but they both had the same thing inside. Didn't notice until I was almost done with the install, ended up driving around for more than a week with only one muffler because they refused to overnight me the correct muffler. They said it would cost them too much and they would not take the hit. I don't deal with them anymore.

I'm not going to comment on the service, but I've had multiple conversations over PM that seemed to have quick service and all, but then they simply stopped replying. And if I try to PM them, I receive this message:

Ouch. I just put up a great review for Alan too. He's always been helpful and friendly and given me GREAT prices. I even once bought used wheels that were bought from them. I called him up and he helped me even though I didn't even buy from him. I would recommend emailing them ahead of time.

If you haven't noticed, **********s is no longer a supporting vendor. I'm unsure of the story why. But they still give good customer service from what I've noticed.

A note to someone ordering straight from the site: have you tried contacting some of the reps that the forum users go to? Alan, Mike, Elliott, etc.?

This exactly. I would directly contact one of the reps there personally. Their emails are usually name************.com. I would use that instead of the general sales email. I've worked with Alan exclusively as well and he's great.

I've always gotten good service from them...I ordered something two weeks ago....within 48 hours recieved confirmation saying one thing when out...couple days later another confirmation saying the other package went out... got one package 5 business days after shipping confirmation..and the other package came 3 days after confirmation...so I don't know.

I'm an overseas customer here.

I dealt with them a couple of times & never had any issues.

what I always do with vendors here is that I email the rep directly, ask him all the questions, then proceed. Never have any issue.

I've had both good and not so good experiences with **********s.
Every time the initial call to set up the order was handled very well and professionally, and i received a good deal on the parts I wanted. My last order however, required some service after the order was placed and I received the parts (center caps and M badges included with wheels did not show up). I've had to call more than 5 times to resolve my issue, each time being promised to be contacted back without them following through on that. This is besides the fact that i received a promise that the wheels were to be shipped on a Friday, when they only went out the following Tuesday.
Good customer service means that one phone call rectifies a problem, and it is rectified quickly. It seems that the **********s sales staff just charges your account, puts the order in the picking box and then forgets about the order all together.

I've had great service with them as well. I guess I'm too nice though. I always give companies the benefit of the doubt that they're too busy when they don't respond right away.

I've been on the phone with Alan a lot lately. He said they got banned because of something about posting too much in people's threads....advertising issues.

i had one experience with **********s and it was horrendous... wasted much of my time trying to unsuccessfully deal with them and their nonsensical excuses.. i will agree that when you speak to anyone there they will be very polite and friendly, but that is about all i can say that is good about them.. i'm sure plenty of people have had good experiences, but I was fortunate to find out the dirty side of their business on the first try.. i will never again make the mistake of buying from them.

yea, wont be buying from them again and will return the piece i ordered when it finally arrives.
just because a company is friendly and polite on the phone doesnt mean thats good customer service, well my part apparently shipped out today (10 days after ordering it) but the tracking number isnt even showing any details yet.

Lesson learned thats all, glad i didnt buy an expensive mod like a tune/exhaust/rims/

**********s has good and bad reviews

I've never personally bought from them, but I've heard more bad than positive reviews.

I feel they may ask that the negative reviews be deleted or "moved," as can sometimes be the case on this particular forum.

Never had any issues with **********s, then again they are only 30mins from my HOR and I can go there in person if there are any issues and pick up my purchases first hand.
