Radio lights out? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I'm trying to investigate an issue on a family member's car. They have a 2009 328xi E90 without navigation.

I noticed the other day that the lights behind the radio controls do not illuminate at night. I believe that the radio LCD display lights up, but the buttons do not. (I'm going by memory here -- I won't get a chance to check out the car again for a few days.)

I don't remember if the HVAC controls were lit or not.

Any suggestions? If the HVAC and radio lights are out, is there a common failure point? (A common fuse perhaps?) If it is just the radio, is the light accessible with the radio removed?

why i have the opinion that in business or professional radio/cd all their buttons are illuminated?
