Hello, im new to the forum and bmw 335i. I just bought a bmw 335i coupe and want to put a bov on it. I think i will go with synapse since everyone says it sounds great! But do i need a charge pipe with my order? Im not even sure what charge pipe is. Please advise. Thanks!

The charge pipe is the piece of plastic tubing attached to the throttle body, youll see the diverter valves attached to it. Do some searching around for your various options, but i dont think you can get a synapse mount on the oe unit. If you plan on running over 16psi or so an aftermarket chargepipe is a wise investment.

Garage List
Just installed an ER charge pipe on my n54 e90 today. Easy install and definitely an upgrade to the plastic OEM unit. Also showed me that an oil catch can is a must....nice oil coating in the old pipe!

Also has a method bung if I decide to go that route.

I went with OEM diverters ...no BOV.

Go to the commercial vendor section, there are probably a dozen vendors who sell the cp+bov as a unit. The install is diy, a bit time consuming but very simple from a mechanical standpoint.
