I'm not saying I found 40 ponies, but after the cleaning my car feels more crisp and responsive. Perhaps all that build up was bogging me down. I recommend everyone do this job this weekend!

Did you do 1- a STP or equivalent flush? 2) Petrol all in one additive cleaner etc

What product did you use btw. 40hSP is quite a number, did you do a dyno test or just geastimate...

Nothing added to the fuel will touch intake carbon build up on direct injection motors.

Did this last week, huge difference. Motor is smoother and more responsive and seems like there is less turbo lag.

Did this at 118k...Long over due! I used diy's that I found here on the forum. Easiest and fastest way I would say would be to (after youve removed intake manifold) lay towels down, spray the hell out of the ports with carb cleaner, get to scrubbing with brushes and or picks, then blast the debris out with the carb cleaner. The carb cleaner does a lot of the work for you.
