I Hate Love Bugs!

I hate these things. I have to drive up and down the turnpike and get covered with them. I have to wash the car every 48 hours. Any tips you have? Was thinking that new 3m clear film.

I rinse the affected area, use a wet dryer sheet and they come right off. Using the a wet dryer sheet is almost like wet sanding the car so I also recommend that you quick it a quick wax after.

I've used this for years on white honda accord, white 5 series, black 3 series and red nissan sentry. This is just my macgyver solution, I'm sure there is a better solution in the detail section of forum.

Looking into that clear film spray by 3M. Maybe that'll be a good solution finally.

Good stuff by Griots. Link below. Advance used to carry a similar product called "Bug Blocker", but I haven't seen it in a few years. It's a spray on waxy coating that traps the little buggers... then rinses clean with water. A good coat of Collonite 845 first helps a lot.

I drive 528/50/Turnpike frequently... hate love bug season!

I'd suggest a good sealant or wax but of course you'd still need to rinse their guts off whenever you get a chance
