Side view mirror alignment issue

My driver's side mirror has an alignment issue. I have to pull in the body of the side view mirror a bit in order to use them properly.

Is there anything I can do re-align the mirror?

E90toM3 i manually pulled in my mis-aligned mirror to the folded position and pressed the button to fold the mirrors. you may hear a knock or two. once the folded position is set. press the fold mirrors button again and hopefully your mis-aligned mirror returns back to normal.

what Lucius did sounds like a manual "end stop" procedure that should reset the folded and unfolded position in case one of the two got disturbed?

This would be the fix for the issue:

Some people just drill a hole and squirt lubricant to clean and lube the pin.
