Possibly joining the e90 scene
So I've had 3 e30's over the last ten years. An 89 325is, an 88 m3, then a 91 318is. My sister just offered me her 06 325i with 52k on it for 9 grand. I'm thinking of leaving the e30 world and moving on to a car that's newer and more comfortable to drive. The downside is this car is an automatic, and of course only the 325. Tell me your thoughts guys.

I drove a 1989 E30 325i for 18 years and 256,000 miles. I replaced it with a 2006 E90 325i and now have 200,000 on it. The E90 is a much nicer car to drive. The E30 is now a classic, but it has it's limitations.
However, your Sister's car is a non-sport package with automatic, so you need to consider that in your decision. |

You'll miss the e30 especially if your getting a 325i auto without sport package. But that's a really good price, have you thought about buying it and selling it making some $

I'd say go for it, although it is a 325 it still has a 3 liter, only minor drivetrain differences between 330/325.
It appears to be a pretty basic model without sport package, HID and whatnot from what I can tell. Still a good deal if its mechanically sound. I'd buy it if I were in your shoes |

Definitely faster than my 138hp 3 series. It has the cold weather package, but no sport package, I don't think that it has the hid's. I would feel prettt douchey if I flipped the car that I bought from my sister.

Put in performance mods and seats and it will be a great car. Not the fastest but plenty for dd and fun. With 4-5K you can transform it. |
