generally mate i think the consensus on here would be to not go cheap when it comes to buying coilovers!
if you are doing it on a budget its probably best to go for a good set of springs e.g. Eibach or H&R which depending on what type will cost you anywhere between £150-£250 a decent set of coilovers can cost you anywhere between £650 and £1300+

Stay away. Thats' coming from three people who have coilovers. As P5UML has said, you're MUCH better off going for reputable springs like HnR (greater drop, harsher ride, no adjustment) or Eibach (medium drop, better ride quality compared to HnR, again no adjustability). Taht or save up. It seems a lot of money to spend i.e. £650+ for decent coilovers .. but do you really want to risk driving your beautiful car on budget suspension?

lol i didnt read it either....
these would be compared to FK and JOMS in the coilovers world which are all budget coilovers. some people have had great experiences with em but i wouldnt trust £200 coilovers on my car...

Like others have said, go for something like JOM coilovers if you must. At least they're a well known brand and from what I hear, have reasonable customer service. A few friends of mine have them on VW's and they work alright on the street but doubt they would last more than a few years.
Im looking to lower my car, Eibach Pro springs all the way for me ![]() |
