Style 5's have been done by me and many others, although I'm not sure about 17's.

Idk about Xi fitment but for me I'm running a 12.5mm spacer up front, and planning on getting a 20mm for the rear.
So my setup will be: 18 x 8 et7.5 (et20 - 12.5mm spacer) 18 x 9 et2 (et22 - 20mm spacer) 215/35-18 225/40-18 Maxed out front and rear on Kw V2

No sorry.. ECS sold a bunch of them about 18 months ago for dirt cheap, but they're all gone now, even BMW/BBS doesn't have any stock anymore.
Look on bimmerforums, they float around there every once in a while. Keep in mind the E39 wheels fit, but you need hubcentric rings. The E38 versions fit straight up.

Style 5's may be supposedly overdone, but on the road you almost never see them on cars. And they are easily some of the nicest looking, most universal (OEM) wheels ever made.
That said, the 17x8 square ones are the usual cheap ones. If you want to get fancy, they make a staggered 18 inch setup that costs significantly more. I actually had a 17" set of style 5's that I got for dirt cheap, that I completely refinished, sanding all the curb rash out and polishing them in the process, along with painting the bolts with gold metallic paint. Looked very good, though I never got to put it on the E90. (It was originally for my old E39 which I decided to sell)

They're just a ring that sits in the center bore of the wheel to make sure that the wheel slides over the center of the hub. That way you don't get vibrations.

Yeah the only thing i think is a benefit is that i can go lower on 17 considering i have coilovers, and for summer that would be nice, but imo i feel 18s are the perfect size, i think ill get them and if i really dont like them i can re sell and not take too much of a hit

You can still buy the stock center caps from ECS and ebay and others. they are easy to find. I went a different route with mine. Check my build thread.
