e93 335 Le Mans Blau from Finland (added images April 29th 2013)
(April 16th 2013 & April 29th - Added images from the modifications - available at the end of the page)
Hi guys, I'm a new member so I thought to introduce myself and my dearest beauty in Le Mans Blau! I bought it about 6 months ago; just before summer started to end over here in Finland and managed to enjoy some time without the roof. Now, its been up for at least 4 months and eagerly waiting to get it down again in a few months time! Still, I must say that I've been surprised how well I've been managing with it in the winter where we've had temperatures of as cold as some -28'c or -18 fahrenheit! I do have an extra petrol heater to the engine and can start it heating remotely from the house so it helps a lot... ![]() Below are a few photos as it was when I bought it last summer. Sorry about the bad quality in the pics. ![]() ![]() Also one pic as it was in the sales advertisement with its winter tires: ![]() The previous owner had already included a lot of nice "features" into the car: Logic 7 hifi-systeem Big Navi JB3 Spearco code III intercooler VK cattless downpipes 19" OZ Botticelli Crystal Titanium KW3 suspension Webasto (heater) Still, even when buying it, I already thought that this car will need some extra: First, I "painted" the light leather interior with a special leather paint since the light color had become quite gray. This was a significant improvement to the looks of the interior and now its almost as good as new! Then, I upgraded the JB3, into JB4 since I wanted to get rid of the error light coming from the downpipes. In addition, I liked the fact that I can see which tune is in use etc. At the same time, I changed LEDs into the Angel Eyes. Before changing into the winter tires, I got the rims painted black on a special paint for such. This improved the looks a lot since I did not like the winter rims at all! I'll wash the car and upload a new photo showing the difference shortly! After changing into the winter tires, I got also the OZ rims painted black and can't wait to have them into the car again in a few months once snow disappears! Next week, I'll be getting a lot of additional stuff; * Duke Dynamics carbon diffuser * Remus Racing exhaust This should improve the look and sound, although I think it was pretty nice with the downpipes and original exhaust already! The M-Sport front bumper and the bonnet needed a new paint. Instead, I decided to change them at the same time and ordered: * Prior-Design 1M front bumper * Bonnet with carbon air intake I should be getting all parts next week. Then, I'm planning to add some more carbon and after that, the beauty should be ready for summer! All comments and suggestions are welcome! Last edited by BimmerFinn; 04-29-2013 at 03:52 PM. |

Finally most of the modifications are done!
1. Winter and summer rims are painted black. 2. Installed Remus Racing Quad mufflers 3. Duke Dynamics carbon fiber diffuser 4. New bonnet as the old one paint was having so much scratches 5. Prior Design 1M style front bumper again due to so bad paint 6. Carbon fiber spoiler on trunk 7. Carbon fiber mirror covers. 8. Carbon fibre kidneys Attached are a few images still with winter tires. Will post still a one more set of images once the sun is out (and summer tires on) - should be this weekend! Let me know your thoughts on the change and if you think something should still be improved! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Wow what a transformation!! I love the 1m bumper, all that's missing IMO are some spacers and lci tails!

Thanks for your comments!
LCI tails are actually something that I've been thinking since buying the car but have not done it yet... Lets see if that would be next to do! Spacers could also be good for the winter tires but not sure if they would anymore fit with the summer tires as those are much wider and already now, I've had to lift the cars suspension up a bit as else the tires will hit parts inside when the kids are back... I'll post pics with the newly painted summer rims next weekend!

Finally some pics with the summer tires on. The rims are painted black as were the winter rims as well.
The car would need a good polish for the paint; need to get some real pro to do that soon! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
