DRLs and High beams are not the same thing?

Noticed this yesterday while messing around with settings. How long do DRLs last before they have to be replaced? These are halogens btw.

If switched towards the driver it flashes the drl ... If pushed away to activate high beam it uses headlights , just repositions them,.. I myself learned this the other day on my pre lci xenon headlights...

Your using the low beam side of the H7 bulb in the inside headlight position. When you flash the high beams the light gets brighter.

E90/E91 halogen (pre-LCI and LCI): DRL and high beams are the same halogen bulb

Pre-LCI E90/E91 xenon: DRL and flash to pass high beams are the same halogen bulb. sustained high beams (push stalk forward) is bi-xenon.

E92/E93/E90 LCI/E91 LCI with xenon: DRL is angel eyes. high beams fire the bi-xenons no matter what.
