I need some advice. My 325i n52 engine makes cloud of smoke for second on hard acceleration when revs at about 6000 rpm.
Is it condense in exhaust? Or I have to look for more trouble?
Car runs normal like always.

Update:
This morning I ask my missis to press throttle and bit off black smoke, but looks more like soot dust comes out of my exhaust (is not a diesel).

Does it do short journeys for its normal usage?

Most petrol engines will throw a little black smoke when floored, the usual applies, black smoke = fuel, blue smoke = oil, white smoke = water or condensation.

Sounds like it could do with a good run to clear itself out....

I got some white "smoke" in November and December last year during the time my vacuum pump and rocker cover gasket had to be replaced because of an oil leak. Could they be related or just the cold weather?

That's the problem, because my missis using car every day to work. She drives fast but not pushing to the limit. On weekends when I'm driving is our little one always with us. She is only 17 month. Then I can't push it.
Safety first.
