......towing my trailer. Ouch.

Took my Polo track car on my trailer to a rolling road and used half of tank of fuel to do 140 miles - the DIS read 22.8mpg.

On the plus side my Polo produced 205bhp at the flywheel and 158bhp at the wheels - not bad for a 1.3 litre 8 valve designed in the 80's!

Anyone else had worse mpg figures (exc track days!!)?

Look on the bright side its better than I've ever seen on my dash lol

used to get 29mpg towing a 1500kg caravan with my 335d fully loaded & 4 passengers.

Still amazed now how it would hapily go along at just 1300/1400 revs in top gear up quite an incline on the motorway at 50-55mph.

Used to get 34mpg towing my 'ski with my 130i, haven't tried in the 330i yet but hoping it wouldn't be too disimilar...

Here are a few pics of the Polo - it's a genuine G40 which there are only about 150 left in the uk now.

This is at Santa pod fitted with drag slicks - 13.5 second 1/4 mile time.

Yeah the standard G lader supercharger was too unreliable and was only capable of 14psi of boost whereas now I am running 23psi of boost.

Yeah I love oulton too - love it even more because I am 12 miles from the circuit which makes life easy to get there.

looks like fun. I probably have the worst mileage..15mpg on a good day. Most of it city or freeway traffic though.

DXB - You must have hammered that D everywhere

Averaged 9.2MPG over 23 miles to work the other day due to the closure of the A2. Generally nowhere near that bad though.
