Hi, I was wondering if anyone had tried the LUK dual-mass flywheel from ecs tuning and had any feedback on it compared to the oe one.

Thanks

Luk is the original manufacturer for BMW and many others, so there should he no issues.

I'm wondering if they would make the lighter weight version for the 1M in the older N54 bolt pattern? And then with stiffer springs for approximately twice the torque rating? I'm tempted to contact them...

I have one with an HPF clutch and it works great. Not much to review, it installs and behaves exactly like the OEM FW.

Well, considering it IS the OEM flywheel, this is not really surprising. I also have it in my car, combined with the HPF Feramic stage 1 clutch.

I notice however some vibrations under high load in low revs, which on "the other forum" has been attributed to the OEM FW; this problem is apparently solved with a single mass flywheel (steel or aluminium). It seems that in particular high hp cars with modified turbos have this issue.

Is the dmfw to be replaced together with the clutch for best results? My flywheel is on its way out too :/ Does Luk only produce one 335 part or can you and up with a 'budget' option by mistake?

Yes, would be ideal to replace them both at the same time.
They only make one as far as I know.
