Nope! Dry as a bone in the interior after washing.

Some of the 1 series in Europe have had this issue - it is the pillar-less window (non) frame - the water seeps in between the window and the seal. It is likely that you will need to have the seal replaced and I am guessing that this should be covered under warranty.

Best of luck.

yeah I get that all the time when I wash it, just a very small amount, but have never had a problem in the rain. as mentioned, the frame-less design can be prone to this. I have not considered it a major issue - going in for a fuel pump and i-drive updates were necessary, otherwise I stay away from the dealership.

also one time at high speed in a very strong crosswind there was temporarily some wind noise due to a small gap opening between the glass and the seal (discussed in another thread recently). I was more concerned about this, but still not enough to force me back there yet.

Maybe this is what happened to me. I was drying my windows after a wash, and noticed a water beading on the insides, and some sprayed on the seats. It was very strange, and I just assumed I hadn't closed my windows properly.

hmm... so i'm not the only one, lol... the only thing that bothers me, is that it pools up near the speakers... i don't want any short circuiting or anything of the sort... other than that, as long as it doesn't leak in while it's raining, i guess i can live with it... maybe...

i don't know why you even brought up people complaining... didn't think anything in my post sounded even remotely like i was complaining, it was just an inquiry as to whether or not anyone else had the same problem... just curious, that's all... thanks for your input though...

Nope, sorry Buddy. When I wash the car (the car is on a slight downslope) the water collects in the bottom door seals. When I open the doors the water is released. If I washed the car on a level surface, this wouldn't happen...

I think this is a dealer issue..

Good luck!!!

This used to happen with my E46 and happens with my E92 too.

But Caveat, if the water jet is sprayed upward and hits the window ridge from bottom side up, it will no doubt leak in. If you spray the water from above, no matter how hard, it won't leak in. Nothing wrong with your seal, just modify how you wash it.

That's true. I wash from the top down, spray off, wash with sheepskin mitt, then rinse with a solid-stream sheet-rinse that results in a nearly dry car. I only need 1 waffle weave towel to dry the entire car!!!

I had the same problem with my 08 e92. Was kind of freaked out by it at first thinking what was wrong with my car but I just opened the door and wiped off the seal and window really well and it seemed to have sealed up better after that.
