Evan, what does the installation kit include? Is it just the mounting bracket or including the power supply? BTW, I tried searching the part # from your site and it just came up with the full package, not the installing kit on its own.

Does the installation kit provide the capability to use the navigation system through car's speakers?

My parts bulletin states the installation kit comes w/ everything needed to custom fit current systems....so I'm assuming it'll be a bracket/mounting hardware/power supply/etc. I just added an option on the special for the complete kit or the installation kit!

How is this baby powered?
I hope the kit has a way to power it to the car without using the cigarette lighter.
I just hate to see wires all over.

Thats just the user manual for the nuvi itself. Theres nothing there that shows how to install the mount or what comes with it.

However, after reading that. How happy would BMW be if I drilled my dash when its a leased car?

I have the exact same lease car issue. I guess I'll stick with the suction cup solution for now.

Looks good but expensive and I hate the thought of drilling the holes right in the center of my dash. Pretty much locks you into tghe nuvi line for the life of the car and hope they never change their mounting system.

nice retrofit.

there's no big issue detatching the unit right? just asking because in the bay area there's a lot of smash and grab's of gps units.

Should not. These guys are very easy to remove from the mount so you can hide it somewhere.

Nope. Simple...
Also, after you detach it, there's also a plastic clip that covers the mount... so it looks like an air freshner.

this also helps w/ security -- BIG TIME. because those after market navi's w/ windshield suction mounts leave a residue behind. My sister has a tomtom which was stolen (let alone the f'cking broken window)...

For me, i love the unit. Even w/ the navi off, after the plastic clip covers the mount, it looks perfect. Like i stated before, looks just like an air freshner!

Finally, you gotta have LOVE for the no wires~
i had my V1 hardwired too b/c i can't deal w/ wires... they bug the hell out of me...

actually, this is the final point.
I took this nuvi 360 w/ a friend that has an e90 WITH i-Drive... This unit is much faster when it recalculates, searches, etc...!
