Just got the install done on my car and love it. Anybody in NY/Nj area thinking of lsd job. Send him a pm. They did a great job on my car and also I had the Powerflex Black (race) done at the same time and exhaust pe mod. Great guys to work with. Great price for the job. Overall I am very happy with the way the car hooks up now and gear whine is almost not existing even with the race 95a subframe and differential bushings.

Update.
After 3 weeks of driving the lsd works smooth as silk.
Great job again by a local Nj installer ts335i07

People report problems with MFactory LSD. Loosen bolts and clunking. That diff lockdown bracket is ridiculous. VWETISH sells the good stuff. This is where I got mine from: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showth...498#post566498

No probs that I have heard since the GB - mine's flawless with 5K+ miles.

And I wasn't offering anything first hand about the various 'brackets' made.. but I should have made that more clear.

Even xDrive can benefit from LSD especially if engine is tuned and DCS has been coded to allow more RWD bias. Also wheel hop, all cars could suffer from it, regardless whether is RWD, FWD or xDrive.

They got a bad batch of bolts from a supplier early in the first/second production run. I had one of these bad diffs.
The bolts were not heat treated properly and would not hold torque and stretched. They backed out. I had one of two bolts still in holding when mine went.
It would bind in reverse and sound like broken glass.

When the gear shop pulled the diff cover, bolts started falling out.
Some were chewed pretty bad. The ring gear was fine.
Anyway, MFactory did right and gave me 90% of the labor and sent a replacement.

This is indeed the case. The bolts were recalled. I was one of the people that had severe failure. mfactory replaced the diff and the bolt company covered my labor. No problems since

The problem wasn't with our LSD, but with the bolts used on the LSD (which, FYI, are the exact same bolts that Quaife uses). This issue was solved over a year ago when we first started encountering the issue, and we have covered all cases under warranty.

We have even helped fix the same issues for customers that were not running the MFactory LSD (not for free though obviously) who did not, unfortunately, receive the same level of warranty/customer service that MFactory offers.

No, is your LSD that failed. This like BMW saying their engines don't develop rod knock. That is the F*A*G bearings that failed. Just ridiculous. Conveniently you used the opportunity to brag how you helped others but not for free. Wow some help that is. Let me guess, is called business.

The only issue I have with my MFactory diff is the insane amount of chatter when the fluid is cold. But being that I bought the 1.5 way, I've chalked it up to being a normal thing.

Feuer, did you read the two customer testimonials on 11/06? Looks like MFactory addressed the problem to their satisfaction?

Unfortunately, he/she is a broken record that will spend every opportunity to steer people away from our products, regardless of whether or not the issue was resolved (and this was resolved well over a year ago)

I don't know exactly what we done to upset him/her for him/her to be like this, but it is a part of every business. He/she is not a customer (afaik), so everything is based off "but so and so on the forum said" or "but my friend said", or it could just be a simple "I use this brand, so every other brand is automatically crap"

P.S. I never said our LSD didn't fail; I said it was the bolts that were the issue, and those are the only part of the LSD that we don't make ourselves. Yes, we help customers rebuild their non-MFactory LSD's (most do use the same bolts), and yes, we charge them labour to do so (obviously).

Are you referring to these?
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1342969

MFactory it seems like you dislike me more than I have anticipated. Please explain what made you go the route techwhiz is addressing in the above link.

I wonder what would have happen should BMW have implemented same approach. For example: use Takata for the airbags and Tyco for the HVAC harness as scape goats? Don't provide free loaners, free shuttle, free whatever ....Instead send customers to have their vehicles inspected and whatever happens, happens. If customer is out of pocket, or crashed, died...is ok, is not your fault, is either the part supplier, the distributer, the installer....correct?

Oh, that one again? The one from Australia? The where I had told him he needs to go through the Australian Distributor (and not the US Distributor)? The one where he was offered to have his work done under warranty at no charge, but was so rude and argumentative with the Australian distributor that they finally gave up and refused to help him?

FYI: I am NOT the Australian Distributor. Incase you didn't realise, we are an international company with multiple offices around the world, and I am not obligated to handle warranty cases to every single country. I will try to help where I can (like I did with the Australian customer), but when they are rude and argumentative, why should I?

I am not the one that "dislikes" you. YOU are the one, for some reason, that "dislikes" us by bringing up old posts after old posts, no matter how long ago they were resolved.

And yes, we charge non-customers for labour to fix their LSD. Why would we help them for free when then they did not purchase our LSD but instead are running another manufacturers LSD? I'm sorry, but your reply to that one I just do not understand.
