Belt idler pulley - fell off...

My 320d has not long turned 50k, started the car and heard a plop, openned the bonnet to see the idler pulley on the undertray and the belt flapping around.
Stupid design, the bolt that holds the alternator on has a threaded hex head that the pulley bolts on to, went to BM and picked up the superceeded part number pictured below. Only took 10mins to replace if you have a T60 torx bit to back off the tensioner.

Was the idler noisy?

Mines (I'm assuming it's the idler) is doing a noticeable repeating "whish whish whish" noise on idle at the moment.
