Vinyl wrapping interior trim

There's a fella near me that says he can wrap all 10 pieces of my E92 in genuine 3M Di-noc carbon fibre (black, silver or grey) for £200 including return postage (if required) and will guarantee his work for a year.

Sounds like a good deal to me, what do you guys think ?

I am hoping to do myself mate.

Bought the Vinyl online for 60. Feels like it is worth a punt as can be peeled off!

I was quoted the 250 mark as well.

I took me whole Sunday to do these and constant nagging by Mrs.

I think 200 is a very good price to get it done perfectly + warranty.

Sounds like a good deal to me.
It's something I would like to have a go at but know I would just mess it up.

I'm in Swindon, the bloke isn't far from me, I think he's planning on getting a few sets of interior trims for E91/E92 so he can offer an exchange service once you've ordered the colour/style you want.

Sounds like a good plan to me, I'll give him a shot at my car and post some pics

Fair point, I just don't have the time or the ability to do a top job to be honest, I doff my cap to anyone who does though.

I expect there's loads of us with nasty plastic wood finishes that are begging for that carbon fibre look !

That is a fantastic job.

How long did it take you? Did you have any experience before you attempted?

I am looking for a hobby, although I admit having a punt on an expensive BMW is a strange hobby to have.

Likewise did mine over couple of days while mrs was out with the kids. About 100 so to have some spare. Have had it now for probably over 12 months and only the ashtray lid needs redoing

If you are DIY handy and have a good hair dryer its a dodle.

Think I'll try paying that bloke £200 and not have to find the time or have the hassle of doing it myself

Took me a few hours. These photos are from my last bm though I have since done the trim in my m sport. A bit of experience in vinyl doing bits and pieces on the mates race bikes making numbers and the like but all you need to do this is a scalpel, a couple of spare blades and a hair dryer. As for the time thing you can always do a bit at a time like the door trims etc so there's no need to strip it all out and try and do it all in one go.

Also, on a side note...I've used plastidip before and its pretty awesome stuff, but was thinking of doing my whole car for a euro tour im doing this summer. Can you PM me price of doing a whole car and price of material enough for a whole car if I decide to try it myself?

Getting my e93 trim wrapped next week from a local company called wrapkings http://www.wrapkings.co.uk/ been quoted 150 if I remove bits and drop them in for wrapping.
Going for blue brushed aluminum http://autovinylsolutions.com/Brushed_Steel_Blue
to match the le mans blue exterior.
Will update with before and after pics next week when completed.

Evening chaps, don't know if anyone saw my thread but I decided to give it a go myself.

Have done the two easiest part so far, it takes a fair chunk of time so I am spacing it out over a few days.

Can't complain so far.

Here it is all scratched up from the previous owner.

ive started doing my own after being inspired by 5 puml build thread, its piano black but im wrapping the trims in glossy 4d carbon, its pretty easy tbh, could do them all in an afternoon.
I am pretty handy with my hands but ive never wrapped anything before, vinyl cost me 40 quid and i think ill have enough left to do another set at that.

I've done a bit of wrapping and feel confident to an extent. Its wrapping the vinyl behind that puts me off. Any pointers on how you are doing this? You got any pics of how it looks at the back after its wrapped?
