Cobb stage1 vs stage2+fmic sport

Yesterday i became FBO
And I first tried stage2+ map,and i'm very happy with the car behavior after seven 0-60 pulls, and a few 0-170. Oil temperature hasn't been higher than 240 It seems the new 7' intercooler do the job well. The car is refine and stable. No codes were found!!!

As for the perfomance, it is more powerfull than stage 1,but not a lot. it's probably the same power but lasts longer (the car still pulls after 5k+).
As for the numbers i am a bit
0-60 :The best time was 4.346 wth a passenger,and stuff in the trunk,and the pavement wasn't good. 60' was 1,934 ( stage 2+fmic sport)

But i have to say that i've done 0-60 on stage 1 agressive and got 3,984 best time (alone in the empty car)but i was on agressive map that time.

Honestly i expected a bit more power, but i didn't tried agressive map yet cause i haven't 93 octane station near me, so i'll try it next week if i get 93 oct.

In general i love my car more and more, cause now it sounds better, pulls better, and i hope that 93 oct map will show the real potential of my setup.

I don't have XI but my 0-60 time from the device was 4.9 on stage 1 Agg on 2nd try so I guess your figures look good.

The intercooler has nothing to do with oil temp.

Get some e85 :-) I couldn't launch in 2nd gear anymore. Need better tires.

i know that e85 is great and i'll get it soon. But it's another story, i want a comparison between 91 and 93 oct.

Yeah I ran stage 1+ sport and aggressive on our 91 octane (aggressive with octane booster), then moved to catless DP's and stage 2+ sport. Seat of the pants stage 2+ sport is about as strong as stage 1+ aggressive overall, maybe a little less down low a little more up high.

Got tired of running octane booster and anyway at high altitude I did not want push limits too hard. At some point will go with meth and hopefully be able to get about stage 2+ aggressive levels on 91 + meth. Then a pro tune.

I swapped my plugs after running stage 1+ aggressive and they looked weird, reddish deposits I had never seen before on plugs. Anyway the more I read the less I like the octane boosters. I had wanted to try some Torco but there is none available near me.

The same thing i felt when used stage2+ sport. so octane is the limiter, even the upgrades doesn't influence the power that much like octane.

Well I would say the tune is the limiter, and they (Cobb) are very conservative WRT 91 vs 93 octane. Seems like the guys who get protunes are getting far more power down low than either of the OTS maps.

One of these days I'll order some Torco off Amazon and just try stage 2+ aggressive.

There is a huge diff between aggressive and sport. My car runs 1 second quicker and 9mph faster in the 1/4 between stg 1 sport and aggressive.

Your words calm me down.
But it's strange why cobb made stage2+sport that way.
I'll get 93 weekend time, and try agressive maps, hope they don't dissapoint me!!!

OP pay more attention how it feels after 60mph STG1 and STG2 0-60 time depends on many things shift point, traction, etc... But it definitely feels much stronger on high speed. In my case I did not feel very very big difference but that was enough for my clutch to slip sometimes. Now I dont know what to do I would go with SPEC stg2+ clutch but then DMF will not hold the power single mass is very noisy.

It's not 100% that your car will like the aggressive map even with 93 octane fuel. We've had some really crappy gas lately around where I am, I've had to stay on the sport map even on 93 due to some timing being pulled. Of course, a few gallons of e85 will clear your timing right up regardless. Just be sure to log and monitor it every now and then.

OP, it is not productive to compare different levels of tunes across different octanes. Eg: Stage 1+ aggressive should be compared to stage 2+ aggressive. Not stage 1+ agg vs stage 2+ sport. If you have the gas to run aggressive you run aggressive on all tunes. If you don't you run sport.

Another way to look at it is in order to get quasi stage 1+ agg results on 91 octane you need to add catless DP's.
