The paint job on my red e90 sucks. I've got faded paint on the hood and clear coat peel on the rear bumper and passenger mirror. I said "screw it" on dishing out the dough for a new paint job because I'm looking to start a xs650 bobber build soon. So I just acquired a 5'x75' roll of satin red vinyl and a 4'x5' sheet of satin black vinyl for the roof. All for like $320 total too so I'm happy. Anyways, I've wrapped lots of interior trim but never a whole car so if any of you have tips to throw out, let me know. I've got blades and a heat gun as far as tools of the trade go. I'm thinking about just wrapping the end of a plastic card with some felt for my squeegee.

Good luck dude. If you need a hand I'm down to help. I don't know what I'm doing though .

What type of vinyl did you get?
Cheap vinyl sucks to work with and you will be in hell.

Vvivid Vinyl is what I got for the satin red. I got the roll for close to half of what it usually goes for because nobody was bid on their ebay auction so I hope its not too cheap. It had some pretty good reviews but I've used cheap vinyl before so I'll know on the first panel what I'm in for. And hey I'll take all the help I can get. I will warn you though I rent a one car garage in my apartment complex that gets hot as sh!t. However, I will have a cooler of beer, ice, and water.
