Need help selecting color for HID fogs - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

2011 e93 msport. Picture below. I hate the stock halogen yellow fogs. What color HID fogs would match? 6000k?

are your bulbs OEM? I thought OEM HID's were 4500k?

Oem are 4300, his headlights on the pic look like 6k

The headlights match the AEs. I bought this car used with 3k miles. I can only assume OEM bulbs. Either way, love the color

e92lighting has LED fogs, I have a set that I am installing next weekend. I lit them up on a power supply and they are super bright and white. Would have them installed already but I had to make a box for the resistor packs.

Here is my E90 with stock xenon headlights, LED angels and GP Thunder 7500 bulbs. I now have 8000 HID fogs. See my sig for pic.

I would go with 8k fogs because the LCI e92 angel eyes tend to look a little purple?bluish. 6k is pure white and 8k is white with a blue tint.

How well would you say the GP Thunders actually light the road? Even in comparison to the stock halogens?
I only ask b/c I remember reading someone saying the GP Thunders LOOKED good, but the actual lighting/illumination wasn't that good.

Not as we'll as OEM. They look better but the higher the K rating the lower the output will be.
