Eibach Springs...

I have the M-sport suspension and today I installed Eibach springs.... The car is lower but the stability is worse than before, it corners worse than before... ? Is it possible to get better after a few days?

As far as I know the springs from the e90 sport package are also Eibach springs. Do you have the pro kit or the sport kit?

I love my pro kit personally, corners SO much better.

Its too low, spring rates are too high for the stock shock. I learned this the hard way myself.

Like Fraggy said--my guess is that the springs are too stiff for your dampers. I think the Sportlines are usually pretty stiff. The dampers may not be able to fully control the motion of the springs, resulting in a bouncier ride. I bet a decent set of aftermarket shocks/struts would do the trick.

+1. To me, getting springs is more of a show thing. If you really want better handling, you should get springs/shock combo or full coilover.

I've had springs on my previous cars before and they felt worst than stock, I just threw them on for the lowered looks before I eventually upgraded to coilovers.

I just lower my car last night with the eibach pro-kit springs and it rides pretty good. Almost like stock. I'm waiting for the springs to settle a bit before i get an alignment.

Prokit seems to be a much gentler spring.

I'd never install aftermarket lowering springs without also upgrading the shocks. You're just going to redo them so you finally do it right the second time. Or, just drive around with blown shocks and a bouncy ride...

The eibach pro-kit are designed to work with the stock shocks, they'll just wear out quicker.

Also give the springs ample time to settle in....when I just got my pro-kit installed, the car was excessively bouncy, but got better over a brief period of time.

I've been thinking about installing the ProKit, so from what I've been reading they should be okay with the stock struts for a bit??? What other brands are out there that anyone would recommend? Thanks

The Eibach pro-kit and H & R sports are designed to work with the stock shocks. I had the Eibach on my E46 325ci and i had to replace the stock shocks around 70,000 miles, but it varies on everyone's car
