Question Iphone phonebook problem

When i get in my car the iphone connects automatically but when i press the voice button to say dial whoever, it says my phone book is empty and on my phonebook in the car, it is only showing a few of the numbers in my contacts. So how do I syncronise my iphone contacts onto my car please?

Any help appreciated.

Hello.

When I had this problem I did the following to solve it.

Go to Iphone settings - Bluetooth - select your bmw on device - click yes for "sync contacts" and on groups you select "all contacts".

Hope that helps :-)

The voice dial button on the steering wheel is NOT linked to the phone, if that's what you're referring to.
You need to set this up separately and BMW kindly wipe it all when doing a software update. I've stopped using it.
Your phone book should show up in the car though. Maybe a bluetooth 'forget and reconnect' will help if the above doesn't

Tried the forget device then reinstated it and it didnt work, then tried the sync contacts and that didnt work either. How many numbers can the car phone book store?

I've about 270, it also splits contacts if they have more than one number so I'd be looking at around 350.

Funny, my bluetooth is now not connecting to the car. I've an IOS 6.1.2 update to do so maybe that will sort it again.
