I-Drive Audio File Confusion

The 2009 335 I just bought came with two compressed audio files containing fascinating lectures on kidney disease that I think I am done with. I have tried repeatedly to delete these using the instructions from the manual with no luck. The first possible issue is that the manual describes these files as albums whereas they seem to be considered folders in my car, found only in the Music Folders directory. In fact, when I search for albums, the screen just says please wait...(forever). And when I stored a CD on the hard drive, it also became a folder instead of an album as the manual said it would.

The manual says that once I highlight an album, I should be able to open "Options" and delete. It could be that because I am highlighting a folder instead of an album, but I certainly can't open any Options feature.

I'm probably missing something simple here, but it's time to swallow my pride and ask for help.

Thanks,

are you navigating to it through the search function, or by going through music collection? I don't think you can delete from the search view.

I've tried both, but only going through the Music Collection shows the folders I'm trying to delete. The BMW Search for All Albums just gets me the Please Wait screen, but it does pull up the original folders (not the new one I just added) under the Top 50 directory. It's like there is a software glitch...
