Austrailian V8 Supercars
So I'm a F1 fan, and I watch the odd ALMS race. NASCAR is only good when its a Sportcenter highlight.
End of last year and beginning of this year I started watching the V8 races on Speed and I can honestly say it is much more interesting than F1. I guess it's because the cars are always racing tightly which means more drama. And the cars sound awesome (V8 power FTW). With F1, the beginning is interesting because the cars are together, but after 10-15 laps the race is pretty much set unless a team majorly screws up on tire strategy. Anyone watch the Australian V8? Right now I really don't have a favorite, but no surprise a Red Bull team is one of the front runners.

Caught a few V8 races on Speed last year and last weekends race in New Zealand. It's definitely an entertaining series. Reminds me of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge except it's full contact and they throw in obstacles.
p.s. No need to bust on Stoner. I'd take half of his talent and/or his wife any day of the week. |

Looks fun, I wanted to make it for the race in Austin but have a conflict.
Actually in process of selling my tickets/parking passes for the weekend. If anyone's interested, shoot me a PM. Top of Turn 1. ![]() |

Austrailian V8 supercars beats the shit out of Nascar All Day Long!
This is what we need in the USA. It used to be "win on Sunday, sell on Monday" but now Nascar is basically a spec class, and while the Aussy V8 cars are also basically spec, at least they resemble the cars we actually drive. Much closer to the title "stock cars", and they turn left And right! |

Aussie Tin Tops are awesome. Quite fun to watch. And the past few seasons of F1 has come down to final laps for podium spots. Sometimes the winner is set half way through but many points paying positions are contested very late into the races.
