What Car? 330 or 335....... - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hey all

In a bit of a dilemma at the moment, was hoping you petrol heads could give me some useful info on any of these cars, 330 and 335, I or D. I have a everyday car which will be my 523i and am now looking to get something that will make me smile. In fact, I wish I had bought it instead of the 5er, damn wife for being practical! Have maximum of £15000 and undecided on the above cars. I am however, leaning over to the petrol variant as I will not be using it everyday, work (which is only 15mls there and back) and on the odd weekends. Over to you guys/girls!!!

Hi mate, its all personal preferance really cuz i had a similar dilemma afew years back over a 335 i or d! In the end i opted for the d because i found the torque more of a fun factor over the i but im sure whatever you choose, you wont be dissapointed in the end!Drive both if possible and make your choice, GOODLUCK!!!

As an all round car... 330i. Cheap and does the smile on the face thing extremely well.

First part is easy. 335, if you buy a 330 in either I or d you'll know there was a faster one (ignoring M3 in this obviously!). That's the reason I bought my 335d after looking at a 330, would've kicked myself when a 335 went past!

Second bit is more tricky, torque is immense on the d but it won't rev like the petrol. Drive one of each and decide what you prefer.
