Hello guys. Recently did a system upgrade to the car. Factory base system sucks as no volume whatsoever. Lack of volume, SQ and no tweeters was reason for change. On to the specifics:

Kenwood KIV 700 Digital Media Receiver USB iphone5.
Audio Control The Epicenter
Audio Control EQS
JL Audio 500/3 Digital amp via 4g 60A wiring, JL twisted pair
Boston Acoustics 5.25" front stage custom installed
Boston Acoustics 12" G3 in ported 1.8' Ft box.

Used the same shop that did install in Tomato so had smooth sailing.
Front doors BA 5.25" were custom fitted due to lack of space in doors.
Left rear dash speakers alone as I've done in all my past systems. Getting up in age so no longer looking for SPL in 140db range so sent with a single 12" sub in ported box. Skipped sealed for the few times I want to be immature and I dial up some positive numbers on the Kenwood sub control. Bass is easily covered due to output of JL amp. More than enough to kill a few lab rats if needed

As in all my previous systems I always use Audio Control signal processors. They help compensate any Hz lost in car environment. Keeping it simple yet effective for when the wife drives my car. No complaints from her equals happy life!!
Needless to say power and SQ can easily go from subtle to concert levels by adjusting few levels on the Kenwood DMR. Next mods will be exterior wise on E90. Just couldn't live with base stereo so it was first to go.

Very pleased with results just not crazy bout losing what little hearing I have left. Oh well!
