335i oil (1ltr top up)

I've got the 1ltr top up message on the iDrive. (2007).

I'm leaning towards Castrol Edge 5-30w (Fully synthetic).

Sound right?

Or LL01 apparently. In the manual it says for petrol models LL01 is preferred, and LL04 is an alternative, which goes against what i thought! For diesel models, it's the other way around.

Yep your right but its the 5-30 rating that most will look for but if you drill a little deeper you'll notice the LL designation(and various others such as VW on the can)
