Thanks. It's amazing BMW doesn't do this. This is a no-brainer enhancement. Why don't they? Would that slow down searching to an unacceptable level?

Actually, you raised a very good point.
It could slow down the searching process. A single idx/url pair could be as large as 100Mbytes.

But, iDrive being so slow regardless wouldn't make any difference.
